About Us


The Kibbutz Artzi Choir was founded in 1958 and has earned a reputation as one of the best choirs in Israel. Its singers, selected from kibbutzim throughout Israel, meet for intensive weekly rehearsals and weekend gatherings.


The choir performs a diverse repertoire of a-cappella music from various periods and also performs with all major orchestras under the batons of conductors such as James Levine and Zubin Mehta.

The choir has toured and recorded in countries such as the United States, Germany, France, Poland, Hungary, Sweden, Austria, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Latvia, Japan, Korea, China and Portugal


As of 1990 Mr.
 Yuval Benozer is the conductor and musical director of the choir.

As of
2013 Itzhak Ben-Uzi serves as the choir's administrative manager.

Janna Kopelev - Pianist.

 

Moshe Harel, a member of kibbutz Baram, serveds as the choir's administrative manager, between 1981 and 2013.
