The Kibbutz Artzi Choir
About the Choir
The Kibbutz Artzi Choir was founded in 1958 and has earned a reputation as one of the best choirs in Israel. Its singers, selected from kibbutzim throughout Israel, meet for intensive weekly rehearsals and weekend gatherings.
The choir performs a diverse repertoire of a-cappella music from various periods and also performs with all major orchestras under the batons of conductors such as James Levine and Zubin Mehta.
The choir has toured and recorded in countries such as the United States, Germany, France, Poland, Hungary, Sweden, Austria, the Netherlands, Lithuania, Latvia, Japan, Korea, China and Portugal
Mr. Yuval Benozer is the conductor and musical director of the Choir, as of 1990.
Janna Kopelev is the accompanying-pianist of the Choir, as of 2001.
Ehud Technai and Iris Ganor are the Choir’s Co-Managers since 2019; Yitzhak Ben-Uzi was the Choir’s Administrative Manager between 2013-2019. Moshe Harel (1930-2018), was the Choir Administrative Manager between 1981-2013.
